Sample Recipe 2: Sticky Asian-Glazed Lamb (or Pork) Ribs with Sesame Broccoli

We love this Eastern take on an easy meal. If lamb isn’t your forte, you’re in luck! Pork ribs are also on sale this week, and make an easy direct substitute in this recipe. Note: If you don’t have 2.5 hours to spare for the ribs after work/a busy day, cook them the day before and start with the glaze phase the next day for dinner.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook time: 2.5 hours

Clean up rating: 9/10, one pan + cutting board

Ingredients

  • Lamb rib rack (20% off)

  • 3 cups broccoli florets (On sale!)

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • Your favorite Asian sauce (teriyaki, hoisin, or soy-based) (30% off)

  • 1 tbsp honey (if sauce isn’t sweet)

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)

  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)

  • Serving suggestions: Serve with leftover rice from recipe 1, noodles (On sale!), or as is

Instructions

Slow roast ribs

  • Preheat oven to 300°F.

  • Season ribs with salt & pepper.

  • Cover tightly with foil and roast 2–2½ hours until tender.

Glaze

  • Mix Asian sauce, honey, garlic, ginger.

  • Brush over ribs.

  • Increase oven to 425°F and roast uncovered 10–15 minutes until caramelized.

Broccoli

  • Add broccoli when you pull the ribs out to glaze and have them cook together for that 10-15 minutes.

  • Splash with soy sauce at the end and top with sesame seeds.

Serve ribs and broccoli over rice (optional leftover rice from Recipe #1 works great), noodles, or as is.
